Our 7 Point Cooling System Check includes:
Hoses: inspect all hoses for hardness, cracking or deterioration. Inspect all clamps and connections for proper fit and tightness.
Radiator: inspect the exterior for leaks and signs of corrosion, clogged fins and plugged or damaged overflow tubes.
Radiator cap: Visually inspect the cap gasket, spring and venting system to make sure the cap is free of contaminants and corrosion. Perform pressure test.
Coolant: drain and refill system.
Fan Belt: inspect for signs of wear, cracking or glazing, and for proper tension, make sure all pulleys are aligned.
Cooling fan: inspect the fan blades for signs of damage.
Water Pump: make sure water pump pulley is properly aligned. Check hose fittings for proper fit and sealing. Listen for noises and excessive vibration.
